A visit to Doug’s workshop sees him working on two new guitars for Dave Cotterill, professional guitarist from Stoke on Trent. There is also an update on the 24 string Lyre Harp.
Doug Wilkes is here with Chris Bevington as he collects his new custom bass. Chris is very happy and can’t wait to get out and gig his new Wilkes instrument.
Chris Cliff, who plays a Doug Wilkes custom 5 string bass, was performing today on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, Friday 27th July, 2012 with band Honey Ryder.
Doug Wilkes is joined in his workshop by old friend Mark Hargreaves who has brought in a bass, made by Doug 20 years ago, for a bit of a re-shape and some loving care.
