Here’s an update from Doug’s workshop. He’s decided to build a jazzy guitar, and shows us how he’s going to do it.
A visit to Doug’s workshop sees him working on two new guitars for Dave Cotterill, professional guitarist from Stoke on Trent. There is also an update on the 24 string Lyre Harp.
Doug shows us a black Strat that he’s selling for a customer. He made this guitar in the 1980’s; it’s got a fantastic action and is lovely to play. The guitar was owned by a member of the Marillion organisation.
Doug Wilkes re-profiles a neck from a custom Telecaster he built several years ago. He can be seen changing the neck profile from a C to a V shape.
